Vicente Rubio-Pueyo\u00a0<\/strong>tiene su doctorado en Estudios Espa\u00f1oles Culturales de Stony Brook University y ense\u00f1a en Fordham University. Actualmente est\u00e1 trabajando en un libro de culturas pol\u00edticas,\u00a0Estados y Movimientos en Espa\u00f1a Contempor\u00e1nea, desde la transici\u00f3n de los 70\u00a0 hasta el presente.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Ha escrito extensivamente, los contextos acad\u00e9micos y en la prensa, la sociedad actual y la conjetura pol\u00edtica que abri\u00f3 en Espa\u00f1a desde la empieza de la crisis y la emergencia del movimiento Indignados, y los fuerzas pol\u00edticas como Podemos y las \u00abconfluencias municipales.\u00bb Vicente mud\u00f3 a los Estados Unidos hace 10 a\u00f1os y ha sido activo en la construcci\u00f3n y en formando conexiones y entendimiento mutual entre los movimientos y fuerzas y los hom\u00f3logos estadounidenses. Es el autor del \u00abMunicipalismo en Espa\u00f1a\u00bb un estudio que encarga Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung en la oficina en la ciudad de Nueva York. Entre otras iniciativas, ha colaborado con el Left Forum y actualmente es parte del comit\u00e9 directiva del Fearless Cities-North American Municipalist Summit (New York, July 27-29).<\/p>\n

Vicente Rubio-Pueyo <\/strong>has a\u00a0PhD in Spanish Cultural Studies by Stony Brook University and teaches at Fordham University. He is currently working on a book on political cultures, State and Movements in Contemporary Spain, from the 70’s Transition to the present.<\/em><\/p>\n

He has written extensively, both in academic contexts and in the press, on the current social and political conjuncture opened in Spain since the beginning of the crisis and the emergence of the Indignados movement, and on political forces like Podemos and the \u00abmunicipal confluences.\u00bb A Spaniard living in the US for more than 10 years now, Vicente has been active\u00a0in building connections and mutual understanding between these movements and forces and their US counterparts. He is author of \u00abMunicipalism in Spain\u00bb a study commissioned\u00a0by Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung-NYC Office. Among other initiatives, he has collaborated with the Left Forum, and currently is part of the steering committee of Fearless Cities-North American Municipalist Summit\u00a0(New York, July 27-29).<\/p>\n
