Apasionado de las posibilidades del audiovisual, ha investigado distintos formatos y g\u00e9neros. En su trabajo de ficci\u00f3n para cine destaca \u00abDos m\u00e1s,\u00bb Mejor Drama en los EMMY 2002 para estudiantes, Mejor Director Latino 2002 DGA Students Awards USA y Premio del P\u00fablico Versi\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola;\u00a0Archipi\u00e9lago, Premios del Jurado, Mejor Gui\u00f3n, Premio del P\u00fablico (Columbia University 2003) y finalista para el Latino Filmmakers Showcase 04 de Sundance Channel;\u00a0Ludoterapia, Mejor Corto en Europa Cinema 2007. En su trabajo para televisi\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n ha alternado formatos desde la direcci\u00f3n en series como C\u00f3rtate (Canal Cuatro), Cambio de Clase (DisneyChannel &#8211; TVE1) o El S\u00edndrome de Ulises (Antena 3) a la realizaci\u00f3n de piezas de formato libre para el espacio Cuatrosfera de Canal Cuatro.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>El\u00edas Le\u00f3n Siminiani<\/strong>\u00a0(Santander, Cantabria, 1971) studied Spanish Philology and filmmaking at Columbia University in New York. Intrigued\u00a0by the possibilities of playing with audiovisual formats, he has created film pieces that respond to\u00a0a variety of different formats and genres. Notable among his fictional works are:\u00a0<em>Dos m\u00e1s <\/em>(Best Drama Emmy in 2002 for students, Best Director Latino Students DGA Awards 2002 Audience Award USA and Spanish version),\u00a0<em>Archipelago\u00a0<\/em>(Jury Awards, Best Screenplay, Audience Award (Columbia University 2003) and finalist for the Latino Filmmakers Showcase Sundance Channel 04), and <em>Ludoterapia<\/em>\u00a0(Best Short Film in Europe 2007). Notable non-fiction works include: the\u00a0micro-documentary series <em>Key Concepts of the Modern World<\/em>\u00a0(whose first three installments <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hamacaonline.net\/obra.php?id=785\">The Office<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hamacaonline.net\/obra.php?id=786\">The Permit<\/a><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hamacaonline.net\/obra.php?id=787\">Digital<\/a><\/em>\u00a0have won\u00a0more than 50 international awards),<em>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hamacaonline.net\/obra.php?id=791\">Zoom<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(nominated Best Picture Notodofolmfest 05), and\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hamacaonline.net\/obra.php?id=789\">Limits 1st Person<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(made for the collective project,\u00a0<em>Miradas al L\u00edmite 08<\/em>\u00a0on Artium &#8211; NEFF). In addition to film, he has worked on\u00a0television programs, as well.
