Rocio Mesa<\/strong> naci\u00f3 en Granada. Se licenci\u00f3 en periodismo por la Facultad de Comunicaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Sevilla y desde entonces su vida profesional ha estado totalmente dirigida al mundo audiovisual. Ha trabajado en diferentes productoras haciendo publicidad, reportajes y documentales. Gran parte de su carrera profesional tambi\u00e9n se ha desarrollado en el mundo de la televisi\u00f3n, trabajando para cadenas como TVE 2 y Canal Sur Televisi\u00f3n. En 2010 le conceden una \u00abBeca Talentia\u00bb de la Junta de Andaluc\u00eda para hacer un master de direcci\u00f3n de documentales en New York Film Academy. All\u00ed realiza varios cortometrajes como \u00abAlmon Loos, the rocking barber\u00bb o \u00abTraffic in LA Sucks!\u00bb, \u00a0que han sido seleccionados en festivales de cine nacionales e internacionales. En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os ha sido la encargada del departamento de video de la International Documentary Association y ha trabajado en el departamento de postproducci\u00f3n de New York Film Academy en Los \u00c1ngeles y con Interloper Films, entre otros muchos proyectos. Es la fundadora de la productora audiovisual MY DEER Films y el documental \u00abOrensanz\u00bb es su primera experiencia como directora en formato largo.<\/p>\n

Roc\u00edo Mesa<\/strong> grew up in the Spanish town of Granada in Andalusia. She has a degree\u00a0in Journalism from the Communication School at\u00a0the University of Seville. Since then her professional life has revolved around the audiovisual world. She has worked\u00a0on several documentaries, commercials, and TV shows, working with channels like TVE 2 and Canal Sur Televisi\u00f3n. In 2010, she was awarded\u00a0a\u00a0Talentia\u00a0Grant<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 \u00a0given exclusively to promising professionals by the Government of Andalusia, and went to work at\u00a0the\u00a0New York Film Academy.\u00a0While there, she directed various short films, from her character film,\u00a0Almon Loos, the Rocking Barber<\/em>, to her social issue documentary,\u00a0Traffic in LA Sucks!<\/em>\u00a0(both selected for various international and national film festivals), to her One Year Final Documentary,\u00a0Orensanz,\u00a0<\/em>the portrait of an illustrious Spanish artist who lives in a synagogue. In the last few years, she has been the manager of the video department at the International Documentary Association, worked in the post-production department at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, and\u00a0interned\u00a0at Interloper Films, among other things. She is the founder of the audiovisual\u00a0film producer of MY DEER Films.<\/p>\n
