Diana Nava es licenciada en Comunicación Audiovisual, Universidad de Navarra (2001) y Master Dirección de Cine Universidad CEU (2002).
Como Directora y Guionista ha realizado 6 mediometrajes documentales. A cada lado producido por FEAPS y Ministerio de Sanidad Servicios Sociales e Igualdad; sobre reclusos con Discapacidad Intelectual en cárceles españolas (30 Min, Estreno Dic 2012). Accésit en el Festival de Cine Social de Castilla La Mancha (Oct.2013).También somos mujeres (Prod: FEAPS MADRID, 32 min; estreno, Oct.2011) documental sobre mujeres con discapacidad intelectual que ha recorrido numerosos festivales y que cuenta con dos premios: premio a Película más Humanitaria en el Festival de Cine de Collado Villalba y premio al mejor cortometraje documental en el Festival Octubre donnes 2012 en Valencia. Por su parte El cielo era el techo (25 min), documental sobre ocio inclusivo de personas con discapacidad intelectual fue ganador del Primer Premio de Reportaje Solidario de la Fundación Xul, Sevilla 2010. Su último cortometraje documental para FEAPS MADRID, Otras voces (20 Min) sobre artistas con discapacidad intelectual y Familias en ruta (30 min) Producido por FEAPS, Ministerio de Sanidad Servicios Sociales e Igualdad y Fundación Once (Enero 2015, 30 min).
Además acaba de terminar, su primer largometraje documental como guionista y directora, Coría y el mar, sobre las Mujeres Saharauis, producido por NASA y ORREAGA FILMAK.
Como cortometrajista, cuenta con más de 10 películas, entre ellas el corto documental Miles de esas personas, emitido en TVE2 (Feb. 2011). Directora de Casting y Coordinadora de Figuración de la películas La Buena Nueva de Helena Taberna y de Nevando voy de Cronopia Films, Premio del Público Festival de Valladolid (2007). Coordinadora de figuración de la película Legend 17 Dirigida por Nikolay Ledeved y producida por Three T Productions, Rusia. (Sept.2011) Casting del videoclip de Juanma Bajo Ulloa El kalimotxo de mamáproducido por Kukuxumusu (2007) y castings para promos de Disney Channel.
Diana Nava has a bachelor’s in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Navarra (2001) and a Master’s from the Film Directing University (2002). As a Director and Script Writer, she has produced 6 medium-length films. Each Side is about prisoners with Intellectual Disabilities and Spanish prisons (30 Mins, premiered Dec 2012); it was produced by FEAPS and the Ministry of Healthy Social Services and Equality. Each Side was the runner-up in the Social Film Festival of Castilla La Mancha (Oct. 2013). The documentary We Are Also Women (Prod: FEAPS MADRID, 32 min; premiered , Oct. 2011) is about women with intellectual disabilities. It has traveled to many festivals and received the Most Humanitarian Movie at the Film Festival in Collado, Villalba and the Best Short-Film Documentary in the October Festival in 2012 in Valencia. The Sky is the Limit (25 mins) is a documentary about the free time of people with intellectual disabilities; it won the First Award of Solidarity Report from the Foundation Xul, in Sevilla in 2010. Diana’s last short-film documentary for FEAPS MADRID was Other Voices, (20 mins) and is about artists with intellectual disabilities. She also produced Families En Route, (30 mins) by FEAPS, Ministry of Healthy and Social Services and Equality, and the Foundation Once (Jan 2015, 30 mins).
Additionally, she has just finished her first full-length documentary as a Script Writer and Director, Coría and the Beach, which is about the Saharawis women, produced by NASA and ORREAGA FILMAK.
As a short-filmmaker, she has more than 10 movies, including a short documentary Miles of These People, which premiered on TVE2 (Feb. 2011). Diana was a Director of Casting and Coordinator of Extras for movies including The New Good by Helena Taberna and Nevando Voy by Cronopia Films, which won the Public Festival of Valladolid Award (2007). She was the Coordinator of Extras of the movie Legend 17 by Nikolay Ledeved and produced by Three T productions, from Russia (Sept. 2011). She did the casting for the video clip by Juanma Bajo Ulloa, El Kalimotxo de Mamá, produced by Kukuxumusu (2007), and does casting for Disney Channel promotions.
