La velocidad, el consumo y el exceso tecnológico se han convertido en los parámetros fundamentales del mundo contemporáneo. En un contexto semejante, en el que dichas realidades han quedado supeditadas a la generación de beneficios económicos constantes, se hace urgente plantear una pregunta: ¿Qué lugar les queda a la pintura y a la poesía como vías de aproximación a la existencia en pleno siglo XXI? En un viaje sin destino fijo, el pintor Antón Lamazares se encuentra con distintos amigos y familiares junto a los cuales reflexiona en torno a algunas cuestiones decisivas como la espiritualidad, la infancia, el tiempo, la aldea, la memoria o la muerte. Speed, consumerism and technology have become the main benchmarks for the 21st century. In a context where all these realities are submited to the generation of financial profit, we have no choice but to ask: What space is left for poetry, painting and art as ways of approaching existence? On a never-ending journey with no certain destination, the artist Antón Lamazares comes across friends and relatives to reflect on memories, violence, creation, time and death: all fundamental matters when we try to find an answer to this question. «Edificio España» / The Building, Spain, 2012, 95′ (producer)
En 2007 se inicia un proyecto de reforma integral del Edificio España, un emblemático inmueble de Madrid que en tiempos del franquismo fue símbolo de prosperidad. En las obras participan más de doscientos trabajadores de diversas nacionalidades, generando un insólito anecdotario e incorporando sus vivencias a la propia memoria del lugar. Una inmensa Torre de Babel sobre la que quedarán impresas las huellas de nuestra época. (Source)
The year 2007 saw the start of the renovation of Edificio España, an emblematic building that during the years of Franco’s regime had been a symbol of prosperity. Over two hundred workers from a long list of countries took part in the building works, which gave rise to an unusual collection of anecdotes. The life experience of all those characters became a part of the memories contained by the building structure. A huge Tower of Babel that will bear forever the mark of our times. (Source)

Eva’s sister, Inés, has just died from cancer. During the final months of her illness they recovered the close relationship they used to have as young girls yet which broke down at some point in their lives. Eva returns to the family’s finca, or country estate, to scatter Inés’ ashes. There she meets a person who was pivotal in her sister’s life and who will reveal to her the truth of all those years they had remained apart. More information…
