El bosc/El bosque, Spain, 2012
Una familia del Matarranya (Bajo Aragón) esconde un secreto ancestral: cerca de la masía donde vive aparecen unas misteriosas luces, un fulgor sobrenatural que se hace visible dos noches al año, entre la maleza de un extraño bosque. The Matarranya family (Bajo Aragon) is hiding an ancestral secret: near a country house where the family lives, there are mysterious lights, a supernatural glow, that one can see two nights a year, between the weeds and the strange forest. Barcelona, años 60. Vázquez, el mejor dibujante de tebeos de España, disfruta de lo que quiere cuando quiere, no paga nada, esquiva con ingenio a sus acreedores, burla y tima a sus jefes y se casa alegremente coleccionando una familia tras otra. Hasta que un gris contable de su editorial decide que debe pasar por el aro como todo hijo de vecino. Barcelona, in the 60s. Vázquez, the best comic book artist in Spain, enjoys doing what he wants when he wants, pays nothing, avoids his creditors, tricks and cheats his bosses, and marries freely, collecting family after family. Platillos volantes, Spain, 2004
En una ciudad industrial catalana dos obreros textiles con vidas y ocupaciones de lo más normales, son hallados en la vía del tren, decapitados y junto a una nota de despedida que dice: «LOS EXTRATERRESTRES NOS LLAMAN, PERTENECEMOS AL INFINITO». Son los últimos años del franquismo y España no puede cerrar sus puertas al boom de los OVNIS, una moda que arrasa en el mundo. Pero aquí, cualquier tipo de asociación es investigada como posible foco subversivo. In an industrialized Catalonian city, two textile workers with perfectly ordinary lives and occupations are found on the train tracks, decapitated and with a farewell note that says: «The extraterrestrials called us, we belong to infinity.» It is the last years of Franquism, and Spain can’t close its doors on the boom of UFOs, a craze sweeping the world. But here, any kind of association is investigated as a possible subversive focus. Atolladero, Spain, 1995
Año 2048. Un lejano y olvidado rincón del desierto americano en mitad de ninguna parte. De repente Lennie, el ayudante del sheriff, decide irse a Los Ángeles para ingresar en la academia de policía.
