Licenciada en Filología Hispánica, Nayra Sanz se especializó en literatura contemporánea en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Recibió una beca de la DAAD para realizar parte de su doctorado en Filosofía en la Universidad Humboldt de Berlín, donde hizo un estudio sobre la cineasta Leni Riefenstahl. Con este trabajo le otorgaron otra beca para estudiar un Master en Dirección de Cine en la New York Film Academy de Nueva York, ciudad donde residió dos años y comenzó a colaborar con diferentes producciones cinematográficas. Al regresar a España montó con su hermano Javier la productora Rinoceronte Films S.L., con la que comenzó a dirigir sus trabajos.
With a degree in Spanish Language and Literature, Nayra Sanz specialized in contemporary literature at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She received a grant from the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) to pursue part of her PhD in Philosophy at the Universidad Humboldt in Berlin, where she studied filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl. This work earned her another grant to get her master’s in Film Direction at the New York Film Academy, where she lived for two years and began collaborating with different cinematographic producers. Upon returning to Spain, she established and managed, along with her brother Javier, the film production company Rinoceronte Films S.L.
